Two dams was repaired in Tropeang Krohhoung commune, Tram Kork distict was celebrated for opening the construction at the last weekend, under the supported by the minster of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
The first dam is Krang Ampil, which located in Prey Kdouch village. The dam was made 0.50m higher that contained of 4m top frame, 15m bottom frame, and 200m length. This dam can be used to irrigate 200ha of rainy season rice and 40 ha dry season rice. The second one is Ta Om in Tropeang Skar. This dam was broken 30m with 15m top frame, 15m bottom frame, and 5m high and it has been repaired 300m. After repairing, this dam can be used for 100ha rainy season rice and 10ha dry season rice.
The minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Chan Saron participated to contribute in water source solving in irrigation construction. He is very please with the local farm in water source seeking, construction and control. He encouraged the farmer to join in this activity.
The minister suggested that these dams must be qualified with guarantee of water source control. He continued that beside the water source on the land we can find water source under the land to serve agriculture activity through well digging which is possible to do.
He remarked that, when there is sufficient water, the field would be green. The farmer should develop the practices of multi-culture through natural principle, is a new method, which provide a high yield with low cost.
