SiemRiep provincial department of agriculture has been doing dry season field by practicing on intensification through natural principle over 100 ha which attracted by farmer in Mkak commune chikraeng district.
Agricultural officer spoke that farmers did not have habit to farm the dry season field at past time, and it was kept free after rainy reason. Through Minister’s encouragement, Agricultural department and office cooperate to make a new change by direct practice with farmers.
This confirmation was held on 31th, March 2010 at the time that Minister Chan Sarun was invited to visit there. Moreover minister provided some advices after the presentation of farmer and specialist. He said that provincial department of agricultural office need to regularly observe, the rice growth in order to help farmers to extend their field.
Moreover minister encourage farmer to think about how to use party seed effectively. He continued that farmers are so careless with the use of purify seed but following their habit. He explained that this habit must be changed, and he also advice to prepare land so that land will be able to be farmed 2 to 4 times per year.
On the other hand, minister provided 5 weed destroys machines which invented by department of agricultural machine to destroy weed and plow the land well.
