Forestry Law passed National Assembly and Senate Houses
Forestry Law has been taking long time in the process of preparation and stakeholder consultation before it take into an action.
The Department of Forestry and Wildlife (DFW), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) with the national and international donors agencies spent a lot of the times and efforts for these activities.
After passing the Council of Ministers, the MAFF closely cooperated with the Technical Committee for correcting and revising before handed it out, submitted and ratified by a full meeting of National Assembly this 01 August 2002.
In the middle of August, on behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, H.E. Chan Sarun, Minister of MAFF and his delegation have defended the draft at the senate sent to the king for signature.
